Waterfall cards became popular many moons ago when I was first discovering Stampin' Up!, and has remained a favourite amongst my customers. It's such a simple concept, yet unique and adds a real wow factor!
Pull on the tab at the botom and not only does a hidden message appear, but the three tiers of images cascade. It's a very fun card, especially popular amongst the kiddies.
For a hands-on how-to, email me to book your class today!
Thank you, Carrie Burke, for this lovely submission to my site!
I like to use of colour here. She's successfully mixed some muted shades and distressing with bright, bold images, which I think it quite a cool look. I also love how those flowers match just so perfectly!
Carrie used a sketch layout from www.pagemaps.com as her inspiration.
Yesterday was a most enjoyable afternoon! We did a 40 cards in an afternoon class, although I'd like to go back and call that an "UP TO 40 cards in an afternoon" class. Some finished four cards, some 24, I think at last count.
Madeleine jumped in at one stage and made 12, so I know the 40 can be done in 5 hours - if only we could stop talking and eating! (smile) At one stage, I stopped the mad production and gave a little demo on the stamp-a-ma-jig, or the placement tool Stampin' Up! offers. Have a look-see, especially if you have not seen one of these in action.
The sample cards were made using the Sweet Nothings Simply Scrappin' kit - those kits can make enormous amounts of cards, tags, and pages!
And for those who were here today - no, I didn't edit out the end of the video!!
Try your hand at stamping for those who haven't added this dimension to your layouts or try a simple scrapbook page for those who would like to give scrapbooking a try.
This Thursday night in Birkenhead in Auckland. 7:30-8:30pm. Please bring scissors and acid-free adhesive or preorder adhesive from me. Register today!
For the ninth year in a row, Stampin' Up! has won the prestigious Reader's Choice Award from Creating Keepsakes!
It's an honour to all of us on the Stampin' Up! team to represent such beautiful, high quality, award winning products. The Idea Book & Catalogue is consistently voted the "Best Idea Book" in the industry. With hundreds of samples, innovative ideas, and colour combinations, it's packed full of inspiration.
Thank you for being part of such a wonderful company and industry with me!
A lovely card from the lovely Pauline McArdle in Napier. You may recognize her from her many publications in Up2Scrap. She's got such an elegant, tasteful style - we love her!
Pauline's used the Playful Petals stamp set here in a creative way by combining it with embossing and the Scallop Circle Punch. The ribbon loops in and out of the card through the Horizontal Slot punch (the perfect size for fitting ribbons).
A soft edge made with the Eyelet border punch finishes it all of so nicely. Thanks very much Pauline for your gift of time and talent!
Thank you, Annemarie, for this beautiful card! Most special are the kind words of encouragement and support found inside.
Now, we all know Annemarie for her love of pink - which is a wonderful thing! Pink shirts and pink cards are her "signature collection"! I love pink, too, girlfriend, but am not a blonde beauty and can't carry it off nearly as well as you can!
I love this set, Upsy Daisy, so much that I not only bought, but also mounted two sets! Oh, well, I'm sure I'm not the first mum to be a bit scatter-brained!
I love the layout of this project as well - can you see the possibilities here? You only need three shades of cardstock and one ink to recreate this effective design.
This year's theme at the Stampin' Up! convention was Celebrate, and I'd like to do a bit of that on my blog this week. I've been sent and given quite a few gifts recently, and I'd like to share a few of them with you!
These cute items were given to me by separate people on the same day. It was just coincidence they coordinate so well!
Nancy of Cambridge made me this lovely card celebrating my recent successes and published work. I love how she's stamped extra on the patterned paper.
And Diana of Templeview came up with this adorable and effective way to presentthose delicious handmade soaps! A belly band and the small oval punch is all you need! I'll look forward to using the coconut one first - might have it broken out and taken to the gym by the time you read this! She gave me this in honour of Mother's Day.
add the perfect colours and gorgeous! Emma and Hollie gave me this card during Stampin' Up's training convention in Canberra this past weekend - lucky me! BTW, the convention was lots of fun and so inspiring!! Thank you to all the women who said hello; everyone was so friendly and kind. It's the experiences like that that make my job so fun. Consider joining us next year!

Thank you to all my customers, my Stampin Up team, friends, and family for making this last year so fun and rewarding. I met all of my goals for the year and thank each of you for playing your role in that success. I am well aware I could not be the person I am without you!
And big congratulations to my team who have also achieved their own goals with special recognition to Karen Rogers, Rachael Knight, Dennise Cranfield, Pauline McArdle, Leanne Masters, Patrice Halliday-Larson, Tracee Jones, and Kelly Chase for being called up on stage for outstanding achievement.
Inspired by this little beauty here, I changed from a really complex swap to a simple and clean quickie. And now that the day is here, I am so glad I did! Ahh, the best of intentions!
I did change up the colours a bit and added a bit more stamping. Some of my swaps had the hodge podge details and others didn't . . . I couldn't justify to my husband why I needed to buy six complete hodge podge kits for that embellishment on all of them! Silly man.
As you read this, I am in Canberra learning all my superpowers. I'll be back on Monday full of inspiration!
Supplies Used:
Stamp sets: Pocket Silhouettes
