Yesterday was a fantastic day at the Auckland Extravaganza! We had a mix up with the venue, but it worked out okay, and the ladies were patient and understanding. I do thank you all for that - and for helping make the day fun and run smoothly.
I presented the extended candy wrapper project - showing how to make the die extend to 3 times the original length. It's perfect for the candy bars! And easy peasy as a gift - simple enough to pick up a chocolate bar.
We had fun making these - even my little helper Sofie made a couple out of scraps and leftover bits and pieces. Just to eat the chocolate bar inside, I'm sure. :)
The papers are the SaleABration set Everyday Enchantment - there's not a print in this one I don't love. The stamped flowers bit is from the Fresh Vintage set, also one you can get for free.
All these are for the teachers who taught yesterday. Don't they look lovely as a set?

Even if not for Valentine's Day, isn't it wonderful to do something for those we love for no reason at all? Friends, siblings, coworkers, family - who doesn't smile to receive a token of love and appreciation?
Last night we made some little candy wrappers using the new Candy Wrapper die for the men in our lives. We got out good old Chocolate Chip and Real Red - always a winning combination.
The words are from the OUtlined Ocassions set - one of the lovely SaleABration sets you can earn for FREE!
The first one I did I used Very Vanilla, which is nice, but I wanted to use the new Baker's Twine, which is white . .. so did another one:
Used the new red Glitter Paper too and made this one extra wow. LOVE that stuff! The baker's twine is around the ends of the wrapper, just a little detail, but not too girly.
Now, what do to with these today? I have two special men in my life here (Rob and his son, Bayley), but I have the day lined out with treats all along the way. So I think I will give these Hershey's kisses to Rob's single father, Murry.

Wow do I LOVE these new printed papers!!! It was an absolute pleasure to design this one up . . . partly because I love the colours and prints and partly because I love the subject.
Okay the photos don't do this justice, as per usual, really. I would have never thought to put Poppy Parade with Pool Party, but I do like it.
These photos are from a fun "photo shoot" we did in October with the family. Rob preferred some other photos of us, but these ones matched the papers perfectly. Sorry, Darling. Next time.
The journaling on this one is a text Rob sent me in August. It was one of the many, many, may lovely, sweet texts he's sent me over the last year.
The stamps and embellishments are all from the SaleABration promotion and of course, all designed to work perfectly together.
Three simple heart punches make up the main embellishments of the photos here. Easy! Just a few odds and ends to make the middle heart a bit special and to add a title. Titles don't have to be big - just meaningful.
I love you, Robert. Thank you for being an inspiration.
These Simply Adorned Charms in the Summer Mini are lovely!
I made this lovely piece of jewellery in Fiji - and what a treat to get to make and keep one of these babies!!
Several of my customers made these as Christmas gifts, and they turned out gorgeous. The pendants are quite heavy; they are a high quality and substantial gift.
This one was made with the Spiced Paisley set and a whole lot of pearls. I've worn in quite a bit - the colours are nice to wear with lots.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Spiced Paisley set of seven $37.95, Fabulous Phrases
Our supplier for the Embossing Buddy (item 103083) has notified us that they will no longer be able to supply this item. As a result, it will no longer be available for order once our current supply has been depleted. We hope to make it available again once we find a new supplier.
A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending a wedding, and look forward to another one next month. That was my first NZ wedding, so it was a real treat! Being wedding season, and given the new, beautiful wedding stamp set in the Summer Mini, I thought designing wedding project would be perfect for my first class of 2012.
I struggled with the colours of this one for a while, then just went back to the classic Black & White with a touch of silver. LOVE the new glimmer paper!! Just a little bit adds a real wow - so one pack of this product will go a very long long way.
Girls, I added that embossing after the class as I felt it just needed one more thing. LIke it? It's a bit better, I think.
I think the Spice Cake product suite is perhaps my favourite suite ever. So far. Subject to change with the next mini catalogue . . . :)
While in Fiji, we were lucky to get to play around with this suite a few months early - and it was love at first sight. I would have never put More Mustard with Pool Party, but it works:
Well I just had to order the Triple Treat Flower stamp after this one. It works perfectly with the set and the images in the papers. So even if you are not into paisleys, you can still get the spicy papers and the Triple Treat Flower and you're away laughing.
As many of you know, I went to Perth during the holidays - and one of the reasons for going was to visit my good friend, Tui. You may remember her from the early days of Stampin' Up! in New Zealand? She was by my side always or else watching my kids while I was out teaching.
It was lovely to catch up with her again. The photos we took of her and there were all blurry, but here is one from Melbourne:
She wrote me a lovely card while we were there, using supplies from when she was here taking classes at my house. Although retired product, still very, very beautiful, of course:
I really like that I got a big "love" across the front. Isn't it wonderful to have friends?
Thank you, Tui, for making me beautiful art and for the beautiful words inside.
