If you are like me, it's easy to flick past the Halloween items in the Holiday Catalogue. My Howick scrapbooking group asked me to design a layout using the Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP. It was a challenge, but I really do LOVE what we came up with, inspired by the talented Delys Cram. She did a similar layout using Christmas papers.
The little pennants across the bottom were fun to make. The black ones were embossed using the Lacey Brocade Embossing Folder and then inked with the Illuminate ink pad. Cool look!
The title is a stamp from the set One in A Million, one that I've found quite useful for layouts and for cards. I used this one on the last layout I posted as well, the Snowflake one.
The journaling was a semi-creation; I took an existing poem and changed up some of the words so they fit with my situation.
That nice striped ribbon is also in the Halloween Section of the Holiday Catalogue. I quite like it. Masculine, but satin.
I hope you've seen the possibilities with these papers - not just Halloween! In fact, none of the prints are particularly Halloween - ish at all. More like Burberry and fun! We will be making this layout plus one more on December 10th Monday in Birkenhead.
