Today's layout was inspired by a couple of sketches I pulled off the net, working on that request by some to have two and three photo layouts. I find that difficult!! I did have four to put on here, but it just wasn't working, so instead I've set aside the supplies to make a facing page with them.
It's not obvious, but I'm on a camel here, so I do need those other photos to tell the whole picture. LOL These are some lovely shots from my Stampin' Up Award Trip to Broome last October, and these camel rides on the beach at sunset were definately a highlight.
The new Venetian Romance papers are so warm and lovely - paired with the Baked Brown Sugar Coredinations cardstock, it was the perfect fit for the mood I wanted here.
You can see in two corners I stamped with Gorgeous Grunge in Baked Brown Sugar and then white embossed with the flourish from Elements of Style. This was inspired by my travel itinerary pack for Utah! Stampin' Up! does everything cool - even our travel agendas.
I get the feeling I won't be doing many scrapbooking layouts without these CoreDinations Cardstocks this year; I absolutely LOVE this look! The Baked Brown Sugar card looks like an old pair of boots when sanded, just the perfect look for this.
I continued the sanding to the Crisp Cantalope, which I also embossed with the new Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder. I also lightly sanded around the Venetian Romance DSP as well.
The title look and size was perfect for what I envisioned; the Lovely Romance set is a great match for the Venetian Romance papers. I paired these with the Chalk Talk framelits, and added my well-loved Linen Thread and added the Crochet Trim (and only noticed later it matched the hat).
I have a goal this year to create and complete all my layouts in five hours or less. I figure my customers want layouts that are not too stressful and easy to reproduce as well, while still featuring new techniques and products. And as always, the photos must be the focus.
I'm not sure if they will accept this as monochromatic, but I entered it for fun anyway in the Just Add Ink Monochromatic Challenge this month. Anyone is welcome to play!
If you'd like to place an order out of the NEW catalogue, I'd love to be your demonstrator! You can email me or order online!
