This year's Team Christmas Gift for my Stampin' Up! Team was fun to do! It was a compilation of ideas from about six or seven different sources . . .including DIY card kits that are mostly finished, some personal pampering, the chance to do good things for others, personal challenges, and with some chocolate on top!
Let's go into detail starting with the packaging:
Each box was made by cutting our Extra Large gift boxes in half and then a simple acetate lid washi-taped on (if that is a verb).
The lids were stamped with the with the White Staz-on, which was the perfect finishing touch for a clean, bright package.
Each kit contained:
9 stamped cards with stamped envelopes
3 meters of ribbon
rhinestones
bath salts
Goal-writing journal
matching pen or pencil
20 label punches
Chocolate
Instructions of what do to with each item and when . . .
The kits were made up in six different colour combinations, so each demonstrator could choose what appealed to them the most.
This one above was tied for my favourite!!
This one was Rob's favorite. And seemed to be quite popular today as well.
This one was tied for my favorite too. I LOVE the Eggplant/Old Olive combo. Very striking!!
My eldest daughter, Madeleine, was hugely helpful in getting all of these finished up in plenty of time. She was quite happy to stamp up the card kits in little sets of ten at a time over the last few months, so it really didn't seem like a huge job. (the notecards and envelopes sets of 20 for $11.95 were the key to making this manageable!!)
Plus it earned her some Christmas money. (if only kids were so willing to be helpful year-round . . .)
It was fun choosing out the different colours for these. I didn't allow myself to use Cherry Cobbler or Early Espresso. It's so good to challenge oneself to use colours that don't often get used.
It was so heartwarming to feel the appreciation and the excitment. Rob and I stood back and watched them debate and decide and admire . . . .
I have had such pleasure making these with Madeleine for the team. It reminds me again of why we love crafting and creating - it's the joy of giving something of ourselves to those we appreciate and care about. To making the world that smidge more beautiful.
Merry Christmas!
Wow, wow and wow, these all look amazing Jacque. Love the colour combinations too. All the best to you, Rob and the family for the festive season and 2014
