The Hello You sentiment so popular right now was the perfect thing for a somewhat unusual gift project : a Pen Pal folder for the girls at church to make for a "sister congregation" in the USA.
I used the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge as a starting point and a few different pen pal folder ideas off of Pinterest.
I used the new papers, Birthday Bash, fast becoming a go-to series. Loving the fun colours!
The edges are covered in Washi Tape - you'll see why when you see the inside:
I've made a super simple pocket inside and adhered it on with the Washi Tape by folding it over the edges. Added a bit more of the Birthday Bash DSP.
The two cello bags and the pocket can be filled with anything you like! I thought a little kiwiana and something for their church group would be fitting.
I hope the girls in the USA enjoy receiving these folders from our girls here in New Zealand!
I am sending out my February Newsletter in the next two days. If you are not yet signed up to receive notifcation of promotions and upcoming events, please sign up here:
This is such a bright and cheerful card! The die-cut sentiment is a gorgeous color and what a great idea to turn the sketch into a folder. Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
