JAI247 Just Add Love - Chocolate Double Slider and Tutorial

Good morning, readers!  It's almost Valentine's Day, and I've been having a good play with the new You Plus Me stamp set.  It's a great one for fresh, clean lines.

The Just Add Ink team had a challenge this week to follow this sketch:

 

And I wanted to make it masculine.

Clean lines and vivid colours!

But it's more than a cute card - there is a treat inside. Because who doesn't appreciate a little gift, too?

When the chocolate bar is pulled out by the tab, the card portion slides out as well.  Fun!

And of course, the "You're Sweet" had to be included!

Calm Christmas in Vintage

Stampin' Up! gives us such lovely stamps to work with - and I've been enjoying (as you can see) the new Christmas collections.     I took this project right out of the current Holiday Catalogue - see if you can find it!  :)

We did this one a the Hamilton Quilt & Craft show as a mini class at the stand, and people just loved it.  Easy to do and such a lovely stamp, even for weddings and general. 

The lovely big dove is from the set Calm Christmas and stamped here in the Encore Gold ink.  We added that little leaf from the Bird Builder Punch for a bit of 3D.  I know so many of you already have this well-loved one!

I think it's really nice when a stamp set comes with a perfect saying to put on the inside as well. At the show, some ladies did not wish to put anything religious on a card they were sending out.  One solution is to just use a marker and ink up only the part you want to stamp.  However, in a large group, this is not very practical.  So I did this:

Very forgiveable with the clear mount stamps!  If one doesn't want the bottom part, easy to just take off. If one does, easy to fit back together on the clear mounts.
